How it works
- Equation regions are detected by a layout model, whether they are typeset text or drawn as graphics.
- Each region is read by a formula-recognition model that writes LaTeX.
- Each result is checked for broken structure, and suspicious formulas are marked for review.
Good to know
- Recognition is very good on clean typeset math, but not perfect. Compare important formulas with the original.
- Inline math inside sentences stays part of the text. The equation list focuses on display equations.
- Equation numbers are not part of the LaTeX.
Questions
Which documents work best?
LaTeX-typeset papers and textbooks. Scanned or handwritten equations are much harder and are flagged when the result looks unreliable.
Can I paste the result into Overleaf or Word?
Yes. The output is standard LaTeX (amsmath). Word accepts LaTeX in its equation editor.
