Privacy & data retention

Uploaded PDFs often contain confidential material, so we handle them as little as possible.

What happens to your file

Your PDF is processed on our own servers by open-source software. It is not sent to any third-party AI or document API.
The uploaded PDF is deleted as soon as processing finishes.
The results (Markdown, spreadsheets, images, …) are kept for 60 minutes so you can download them, then deleted automatically. You can delete them immediately with “Delete now”.
Results are only reachable through a random, unguessable link that exists only in your browser tab.
Your documents are never used to train any model.
We do not keep copies, backups or logs of document content. Operational logs contain only technical data (time, error type, page count).

Your PDF is uploaded to our servers. It is not processed inside your browser, so it does leave your device.
This site is served through Cloudflare, so your upload travels through Cloudflare's network on its way to us (encrypted in transit). Like any network provider, it technically handles that traffic.
You cannot inspect our servers. Everything above is what we do and commit to, not something you can verify yourself. If a file must not leave your device, do not upload it here.

Files up to 50 MB and 100 pages. Processing time is limited according to the number of pages (at most 30 minutes).
